CUPRA Presents Stylish EVs at the Take Charge Expo
The 2024 Take Charge electric vehicle expo in Christchurch took place last weekend, 23 & 24 November, with dealerships across the city proudly showcasing the latest EVs from their range.
Originally operated by the Christchurch City Council, this year was the third annual running of the event taking place at the world class Te Pae Convention Centre, and now under the stewardship of organiser Kevin Crutchley. Kevin has run the numbers and says that over 2,000 people attended the event to see the 24 vehicles on display.
Of those, the two CUPRA Born electric vehicles attracted a crowd of interested attendees, all looking to learn more about this stylish electric hatchback.
The recently renamed CUPRA Christchurch (was Archibalds CUPRA, both owned by the Miles Group) displayed two CUPRA Born electric vehicles at the event, with Sales Manager Chris Willetts on-hand for both days of the event to discuss the benefits of these sensational vehicles with show attendees. The days went quickly with Chris inundated with questions from interested guests.
The Born is CUPRA’s first, fully-electric vehicle. Standing out from the pack, the ‘Born V+ Debut Edition’ model is a unique hatchback that features four seats, allowing rear passengers a little more personal space. Meanwhile, the (far from) standard Born V+ features five seats. Both are rear wheel drive and boast incredible styling, 170 kW (231 hp) maximum power, 310 Nm of maximum torque, and an electric range of up to 548 km. Charging time from 5 to 80% is as low as 30 minutes through a DC Super-Fast Charger, 170 kW.*
CUPRA is growing from strength to strength in New Zealand, and you can learn more about the CUPRA Born, download a spec sheet, or make an enquiry with the team.
